"Old order changes yielding place to new", goes the saying. In a fast-changing world, contemporary affairs relate to a changing mindset that tends to liberate itself from dogmatic ideas. From my personal experiences I can say that everywhere there is a growing restlessness for change and to fight injustice. Wealth and material prosperity can achieve happiness unless justice and fairplay are visible Coupled with this vision is the quest for freedom against totalitarian barbarity. At the end of the day, one witnesses a fierce struggle between truth and falsehood in terms of human existence. In my collection of essays entitled, "Interval during Introspection". I've tried to be introspective in a dispassionate way pertaining to events and personalities, "People write in order to be read", wrote W.H.Auden. While writing an essay reflecting my inner feelings, I do seek solidarity with my readers in my quest for truth. "Interval during Introspection", is a compilation of my articles published in the popular English daily, "The Central Chronicle", published from Raipur, Chhattisgarh. It's an interval during the process of introspection to echo my joy and despair. I owe a heavy debt to all my friends and well-wishers for encouraging me to write on contemporary affairs.
