Siba Kanta Gogoi is a senior journalist who hails from Rewati village of Nazira in Sivasagar district of Assam. During his journalistic career spanning 23 years, Gogoi had worked for several English dailies in the north-eastern region such as The Sentinel, Seven Sisters' Post, The Shillong Times, Eastern Chronicle, The North East Times, Meghalaya Guardian, and Nagaland Post. He also had brief stints with NETV and All India Radio (AIR), Shillong. Gogoi is the son of late Laksheswar Gogoi and late Makhani Gogoi.
