Is evil hereditary? Is righteousness a birth right? Are the Gods guilty of favoritism and nepotism?
The discriminatory and divisive society often treacherously conspires against their brothers. Turning them into loathsome creatures. Marginalized by a judgmental world and misguided by: a vile Guru. Mahishasur becomes the tyrant he never wanted to be. On the other hand, Indra the narcissistic. Complacent King of Amaravati, faces the demons of his past and tries to rise above his petty insecurities and his bloated vanity.
The central characters vacillate between the ambiguous values of morality and truth. The chasm between the wrong and the wronged narrows drastically in this fast-paced adrenaline-infused, and thought-provoking narrative. Blinded by malignant revenge and seething with hatred Mahishasur starts on the labyrinthine path of getting the elusive justice. He destroys the world and himself till the tragic hero comes face to face with his invincible nemesis, the Divine Mother.
Will the absolute definitions of good and evil be rewritten by the Devi?
Will the merciful mother pardon her fallen son?
Will evil truly die or will it expose its fangs again?

This book is a tribute to my late father, an ardent devotee of Maa. I know, Papa, you would have been super proud of my literary efforts. I can still feel your hand as a blessing over my head. This book is also dedicated to my mother, for her resilience and her unflinching love. I have never known anyone so quiet and yet so strong.
First and foremost, I must thank my daughter, Priyanshi - my adviser, my alpha reader and my strongest critic. In spite of myriads of work projects, she went through the manuscript repeatedly with infinite patience. Daughters are angels in disguise. My dear son, Vibhav, whose love has made everything worthwhile.
My children, Vibhav, Shashank and Khushi, for their unconditional support and encouragement. Together they have breathed life into this narrative.
My childhood friend, Heena, who believed in me with all her heart. I can never forget the late nights we sat together correcting my silly errors. If Brahma ji ever gave me a boon, I would ask for her friendship for the next three lives. This book would never have seen the light of the day without her by my side.
I must thank my life partner, legal counsel, and better half, Anup, for tolerating my imperfections with love. He has been a pillar of support.
I am thankful to Payal who was always there for me, guiding a beginner like me through the maze of marketing and publishing.
