Book Description
About the Book

In 1957, the All India Management Association (AIMA) was created as an apex body with active support of the Government of India. AIMA was intended as a cause group—a body to pool management thoughts in the country, a forum to develop a national managerial ethos, an organization to facilitate the furtherance of the profession and its contribution to society. Today, over five decades later, AIMA is recognized for its national stature, upheld by a broad base of 61 Local ° Management Associations, over 30,000 professionals as Individual Members, and over 3,000 corporates as Institutional Members.

AIMA is represented on a number of policy-making committees of the Government of India, the Indian Institutes of Management, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and some other professional bodies, besides being an active member of the Asian _ Association of Management Organizations (AAMO), which is the Asia-Pacific regional body of the World Management Council. The Association maintains close links with a number of overseas professional bodies and institutions like the American Management Association, Institute of Management (UK), all the National Management Organizations in the Asia-Pacific Region, St Gallen University of Switzerland, etc.
