Minakshee is an agile coach by profession and a psychologist by interest. She spends much of her time dealing with different types of people in her day-to-day life. Due to this, she is well versed in psychological dynamics and understands the "mind system" pretty well.
Minakshee believes that her life's purpose is to educate people about the importance of mental well-being. When she is not helping people find their peace or answers to life's difficult questions, she is expressing her own emotions on the canvas.
The inspiration for this book came when Minakshee was meditating about how our thoughts affect our life, and she began to reflect on how the mind influences our life, without leaving any traces.
Over the last decade, "mindfulness” has created a buzz around. Everyone wants to submerge into the practice of mindfulness therapy. The initial phases of exploring your mind can be very difficult, but gets easier as you learn to focus your attention. As soon as you realize that it's not about getting rid of or ignoring anything, but it's about being at ease and just sitting with awareness and witnessing the content of your mind, then you begin to embrace mindfulness. Initially, it could be as small as not resisting the thoughts and moving as slow as one day at a time.
In this book, you'll learn how to use the abilities you already have to make the most of the present moment by looking beyond your thoughts and feelings to the outside world and experiencing everything around you. So much so that you will learn that mindfulness has such a broad-ranging implication on your entire life. You will see improvements in every area of your existence, be it body, relationships, wellbeing, or career.
Ultimately, this book will guide you to cultivating a new level of awareness and equip you with simple methods to implement into your life on a daily basis. When you continue to keep on doing the creative things you've been doing so far, you will begin to learn new ways of paying attention to the present.
