Moti Prakash (1931-2015) was an eminent educationist, writer, Sindhologist and has authored over 14 books in Sindhi. He had six collections of poetry to his credit. But he was also active as a journalist and wrote newspaper columns which ran for many years and were very popular. As a playwright, theatre director and actor too he was acclaimed for his work. In his distinguished literary career, he has been conferred with several awards. He is the recipient of Sahitya Akademi Award, Lifetime Achievement Award from Sindhi Academy, Delhi, Lifetime Achievement Award from National Council for Promotion Of Sindhi Language (NCPSL), A.J.Uttam Lifetime Achievement Award from Akhil Bharat Sindhi Boli Ain Sahit Sabha.
Arun Babani (b. 1954) is a journalist, bilingual poet and writer writing in Sindhi and English. He has six collections of poems, besides a collection of spiritual essays Return to Innocence, and compilation of U.G. Krishnamurthy's quotations U.G. Says. He received an award from the National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language in 2016 for his literary contribution. He has regularly been contributing his writings to several literary journals and newspapers in English and Sindhi.
