Yet, the undeniable reality of so many options that were available at disposal in the field of health for many issues, compel us to look back. These were successful, beneficial and popular practices until the break of new inventions. Now they are precious relics for time travel-lers in the field of medicine. To an explorer of remedies for looming health issues, they offer a choice of armaments and strategy.
This book, orrapparu, is a document of a treatment protocol which was successfully practiced and gone oblivious later. This protocol is sure to have derived from treatment experiences of a successful tradition. K.V.Ayippu offered it to the public domain in 1106 kollavarsam (1930 C.E.) It has nomenclature, clinical approaches and formulations that are unique. They are different from the available classical or regional medical literature except in one or two descriptions and formulations. He focuses on a limited specific set of abscesses, which might be the most prevalent ones in his locality at that period. Obviously by the limited infrastructure in that era, only very few things got into prints. In spite of that, the relevance of the subject at that time would have urged him to print this book.
