The Pauskaragama is an Upagama said to be a supplement to the Paramesvaragama, (the 26th Mula gama). Only its Jñanapada section in eight Patala-s is available now. It has been published in Grantha script by the Sivajñānabodha Press, Madras in 1890, with Tamil explanation. Another important edition, also in Grantha script, of the text with the commentary of Umapati Šivacārya belonging to the 14th century was published from Chidambaram in 1925. In the beginning of the Jñanapada, the author says that Carya and Kriya sections have been completed already; this shows that these sections were part of the text, though not available now.
Many verses are found quoted as from the Pau skaragama in early works.
