Mukund Tare (M.Com, CAIIB) is an eminent certified practicing astrologer and an experienced astrologer who has been earnestly practicing astrology, for the past five decades and is well respected for his expertise in several astrological communities like the Triskanth Jyotish Mandal of Nagpur. Apart from diligently serving in the Reserve Bank of India from 1963 till retirement, he has delivered lectures in Banking, and Spirituality, was instrumental in framing policies, and administrative work in various local bodies, & has mentored several organizations led by the young generation.

Mukund Tare inherits his legacy of ancestral wisdom of astrology from his forefathers, which blossomed starting at the early age of 22.

Initially, the author has given the basic concept of Vedic astrology, such as planets, the rashis, the Bhavas, the Vedic aspects, and the strength of planets. The static effects of planets can be judged by the information provided in these factors. The initial chapters are devoted to the basic understanding of each factor, in detail for beginners. The detailed characters of the planets are given with respect to some important concepts such as the nature of the planet, their significance in human life, their control and powers, etc. The exhaustive classification of the planet is mentioned for a specific use such as human relationships as father, mother, etc. for a better understanding of their relationship. Normally, these are referred to as Karakas.

After explaining the planets, the 12 rashis of the zodiac are explained; the classification of signs (rashis) is very important for understanding the chart. The zodiacal signs are classified on the basis of their nature and elements (Tatva). Rashis are further classified on the basis of rise and fruitfulness (barren or fertile). These are basically utilised for a deeper understanding of charts from various points. Bhavas or houses are further given, along with their proper use. Houses are differently classified than rashis or signs and grouped for better understanding. Each house is utilised for a given purpose, such as the fourth house may give details of landed property, mother and general pleasures. In groups, houses are classified as Kendra (1, 4, 7, and 10), Trikona (5 and 9), Tri (6, 8, and 12) and also known as Panfar and Apoklima. These groups are for understanding "Rajyoga."
