K. N. Rao I.A.A.S. (Read.) has been sharing his fundamental, astrologically replicable researches with other astrologers for over a decade now with the sole intension of placing astrology on scientific footing. It is a pioneering work, the very first and the most original effort in the world of astrology.
After he retired from the post of Director General the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in November 1990, he has been writing most actively and has by now authored twenty one books.
All his books teach the art of prediction only.
He tells a story which grips your attention and then teaches lessons. Read his Ups and Down in Career for learning the use of the transits of Saturn and Jupiter which has been made use of in this book also.
And then read his book astrology, Destiny and the Wheel of Time.
Then the very fine astrological techniques given in his book on the Nehru Dynasty will teach you astrology, history and also mundane astrology and less known facts of India’s recent political history.
This teratology presents a scheme by learning which you can sharpen your astrological predictive ability and acquire high percentage of successful predictions.
But do not expect ever to be a hundred percent success. Astrology cannot be God.

There are three worlds (lokas) In the planet we live On; the manushya loka (the world of mortals), the pitrioka (the world of higher beings or manes) and devaloka (the world of gods). Ordinary persons whose entire existence centres round earning, eating, and procreating are called manushya; forsaking their desires, those who engage themselves in doing good to the world are called pitras; those who spread enlightenment in the world and become leaders of higher culture are called devas.
The manushya loka can be conquered through Sons; SO long as there are no sons, then conquered through karma; the pitris are always engaged in doing good to the world. The devaloka is conquered through vidya (or divine knowledge). Devas spread spiritual knowledge and do good to the world. It is this reason that vidya is praised and the devalóka is the best of the lokas.
In all traditional sodeties, particularly Asian societies, their deep ancient spiritual thinking about human life is done at four levels: the purely physical in which the human motivations are nidra (comforts) ahar (career) and marihuana (life’s enjoyments). Here there is no difference between man and animals.
The second level is emotional when every event, birth, illness old age and death are gripping emotions of fears. To under and them, solve them and treat them human branches of knowledge like median, psychology, astrology and so many other subjects have been developed by man all through centuries. The third level is intellectual. The third level is intellectual out of which are born all philosophies, from the greatest philosophies of the Upanishad ephemeral philosophies of the west which are based more on the processes of ratiocination than actual realization of truth. The Hindu philosophies are based on actual ‘seeing’ of eternal truths which is why they are called darshan, not philosophy.
The fourth level is purely spiritual which has been the pursuit of a tiny minority of people of all complications and all countries.
In India, the great rishis combined all the four levels and the Indian divinization in the days of its glory was as uninhibited in its appreciation and understanding of sex motivations as of means’s eternal quest for comprehending the meaning and purpose of human life.
One of the answers to such search and questions is the need to continue the family tradition through sons, a sacrosanct tradition. Naturally, an Indian asks immediately after his marriage when and what - type of children will he have, particularly, sons. These questions generally are the following
(a) When will the marriage take place?
(b) When will children be born?
(c) What will be the sex of these children?
(d) Will the children be successful in their lives?
(e) Will these children look after their parents in their old age? Then there are some other questions.
(a) Is there childlessness in the horoscope of the male or the female to both?
(b) Will there be delayed birth of children or total denial?
(c) Will there be mishaps to children?
Answering all these questions through illustrated horoscopes will take a team effort by nearly ten astrologers and a period of five years. Yet a beginning must be made somewhere, scientifically, through illustrations.
In this book many of the questions have been considered. They are:
(a) Timing the birth of children, through transits of planets and Vimshottari mahadasha.
(b). Birth of children after considerable delay.
cress because of which there will either be childlessness or mishaps to children.
