Jagadguru Shri Kripalu ji Maharaj is the fifth original Jagadguru of the world, so far only four Saints have been acknowleged as the original Jagadugur, namely-Jagadugur Shrishankaracharya, jagaduru Shri Ramanujacharya, Jagadugur Shri Nimbarkacharya and Jagadguru Shri Madhvacharya.
Jagadguru shri Kripalu ji Maharaj who presented a unique reconciliation of the varying philosophies propounded by them and evinced his profound and unparalleled scholarship of theVedas, shastras, Puranas and various other scriptures in this discourse made in pure Sanskrit before eminent representatives of the Kashi vidvat Parishat, a body of 500 top-ranking scholars of India and left them spellbound and astounded was honoured with an unprecedented title of the Jagadguruttam or supreme among all Jagadgurus on 14 january 1957. They were so charmed by his personality suffused with the nectar of devotion and divine love that they declared him as the Bhakti-yoga Rasavatar” (Descension of Divine Love and Bliss).
Every living being desires and seeks happiness. What is true happiness and how can it be attained? Unless we have the right answers to these most vital questions, we will never attain true happiness. There have been many authorities on Hinduism who have written various books, based upon their experiences, which largely appear to contradict each other. Reading these texts, a reader cannot arrive at any decisive conclusion and in fact, can become even more confused than he was before. The remark ability of ‘Prema Rasa Siddhanta’ is that is reconciles all these contradictory philosophies with such simplicity, clarity and perfection that the profoundest spirituyal wisdom becomes accessible even to a layman. It reveals the ultimate path for the attainment of Divine Bliss. From the limitless ocean of knowledge the author has culled and extracted priceless gems for the guidance and spiritual up liftment of all.

Besides, quoting from the Vedas and other scriptures, Iagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj has used practical everyday examples, in order to benefit people from all walks of life. The ease with which his directions are applicable to daily life is amazing.
Knowledge of the Divine science is limitless; yet, in this little book, Shri Maharaj Ji has revealed the subtlest aspects of subjects such as the Aim of Human Life, the Nature of God, the Soul and the World; Divine Grace; the Secret of Descension, etc., with such simplicity that even the most ordinary person can understand them. It easily dispels all doubts that could possibly arise in the minds of spiritual aspirants. His lucid exposition of the Impersonal and Personal aspects of God, and the Mystery of Descension is most unique, He has laid special emphasis upon the science of Karma Yoga, because every individual soul has to pursue his goal of attaining Divine Bliss whilst performing all his worldly duties.
In truth, I feel totally incompetent to give appropriate comments on the magnitude and profundity of 'Prema Rasa Siddhanta' This book is like a vast ocean filled in a little pot.
There was a great demand for a translation of 'Prema Rasa Siddhanta' in English. Translating any book on Hindu Philosophy into a foreign language is a demanding task. This translation is totally an outcome of Shri Maharaj Ji's Grace.
I hope that it will serve as an unfailing source of inspiration, guidance and strength to spiritual aspirants all over the world.
