We all know that the Gita consists of seven hundred verses. But, Gita literature is so vast that thousands of books are already written on those seven hundred shlokas. Saints, seers, scholars, sages and even political leaders have commented on that book. Also, authors are continuously writing on that subject. There fore it is not possible for an individual to master the Gita literature. Here is an humble attempt to present the views of a few commentators. Readers are requested to remember that it is not possible to have unanimous opinion on philosophical subjects. So, they should not get surprised when they find commentators giving contradictory interpretation to shlokas.
Swami Swahanandaji, Swami Dayatmanandaji and Swami Shivamayanandaji have given encouragement to this author in his literary pursuits. Mr. P.R. Parameswara Kurup is a great Help. Dr. M.C. Ramanarayanan has gone through the manuscript. Mr. Praveen Panicker is helpful. We are grateful to all those who have helped us directly or indirectly, in brining out this work.
We are happy that this book is being published on Sri Sarada Jayanti. We do hope that young men would make use of this work.
