About The Book The Return: Story of Kunti is the English translation of second volume of Mahasamar: Adbikar, first published in 1990 and went on to earn the status of a classic.

This volume begins with infancy and early childhood of Pandavs with their mother Kunti in Hastinapur and ends with Agnikand in Varnavrat. Through the character that emerges as an emblem of perseverance, dedication and grit- Kunti, the book underlines the definition of ownership rights, their loss and struggles faced by Pandavs to reinstate them.

The Return is dedicated to Pandavs' quest to get what is rightfully theirs, of Kunti's to return to her home with her children and of Karn who would eventually have nowhere to return to.

About the Author Narendra Kohli was born on January 6, 1940 in Sialkot, Punjab. He completed his undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Arts with honours in Hindi literature in 1961 from Jamshedpur Co-operative College, Ranchi University, did post graduation in Hindi in 1963 at Ramjas College, and in 1970, received his Ph.D. from the University of Delhi. He lives in New Delhi, India with his wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandsons. He has been honoured with the prestigious Vyas Samman in 2012 for Na Bhooto Na Bhavishyati and Padma Shree in 2017.
