We are living in momentous times. Never before in the long history of mankind has so much good been vitiated by so much evil. Modern science and technology have achieved incredible wonders. They have showered on us facilities and luxuries undreamt of even in fairy tales. But they have also presented us with nuclear weapons that bid fair to wipe off humanity itself from the face of the earth. In the midst of plenty we live in terror. Violence and corruption are rampant all the world over. Peace, individual as well as national, has become almost hearsay. How are we to regain our equilibrium and prevent the glorious human adventure from ending up in smoke? It is to men of realization that we have to turn for inspiration and guidance. Only saints and mystics can come to our rescue. Theirs are pure hearts that have delved into the depths of the Ultimate Reality and so have a cosmic vision in which all contradictions get reconciled and all problems stand solved.
