His Holiness Sri Sri Bharathi Teertha Mahaswami is the reigning pontiff and 36th in the illustrious lineage of acharyas of the Sri Sringeri Sarada Peetham - the first seat of Advaita philosophy established by Sri Adi Sankara.

Born with a rare sense of dispassion and renunciation, he surrendered at the lotus feet of Sri Sri Abhinava Vidyateertha Mahaswami, at the tender age of 15, at Ujjain, burning with a strong desire to realize the purpose of human life. He thus had the unique opportunity of learning from Sri Sri Abhinava Vidyatcertha Mahaswami - the Crest Jewel of Yogis. He was initiated into Sannyasa in 1974.

His Holiness is one of the most learned scholars and is looked upon as an authority in the sastras. Blessed by mother Saradamba with an awe inspiring oratory, he also has a command over several languages. His Holiness aware of the ignorance, bewilderment and misunderstanding that assail us at the present time is compassion personified as he uses his profound knowledge and scholarship of the sastras, to drive home the intricate subject in its pristine purity, in a manner easily understandable even to the most ordinary person.

This book contains the English translation of his discourses on fundamental concepts in Sanatana Dharma.

The Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham established by Sri Adi Sankaracharya, at Sringen, has a unique distinction of having had a continuous line of Jagadgurus, who have been illustrious sages, jnanis, yogis and siddhapurushas.

His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, the ruling pontiff of Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri, is the 36th in the line of unbroken succession of illustrious Gurus and has been adorning this throne of transcendental wisdom since 1989.He is a tapasuin of the highest order and is known for His great spiritual eminence and scholarship. He is a shining example of love and compassion.

His Holiness has undertaken several tours to spread sanatana dharma among the masses. This book, "The Various Aspects of Dharma" is a compilation of the benedictory discourses delivered by His Holiness during the present Vijay Yatra which commenced from Sringeri in February 2012. It has been compiled from the discourses delivered in the first leg of the Yatra in the southern states of Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala. In these discourses HH puts across even the most intricate topics of dharma in the most simple terms to make it easily understandable to one and all and help sadhakas attain spiritual progress.

The earnest efforts of Sri. Chandrashekhara Sharma in translating these discourses and arranging them under different chapters will help all spiritual aspirants by making available to them with authenticity and clarity the various aspects of dharma.
