This book is a tribute to Sathya Sai Baba who is regarded by millions of his followers as an incarnation of God. The study is a chronicle of the author's firsthand experiences, narrated in vivid detail, spread over serval decades, as well as the divine experiences of other devotees of Baba. The book gives us an insight into the bliss and benefits that accrue as showers of the grace of Sathya Sai.
The author also highlights the real mission of Sathya Sai, which is to spread love among men and establish peace and human values on earth. Baba teaches us to live our lives according to the five-point code of Sathya, Dharma, Santhi, Prema and Ahimsa.
The book written in simple English makes very interesting reading. It is marked by intensity of feeling and candidness of expression. The reader feels as if he is himself sharing the author's experiences.

The first part of this book was begun on Ganesh Chaturthi in the year 1974. It took a long time to be written and was published sometime in the middle of 1987 so as to be offered to Bhagwan Baba on the Guru Poornima festival of that year. Various experiences regarding the divinity of Sri Sathya Sai Baba are recorded in the first part up to the year 1985, except for a few later incidents. Many years have passed and since then I have long felt the need to record the subsequent events pertaining to this past decade, events that have been proving beyond all doubt the Avatarhood of my beloved Sri Sathya Sai. During these years, though I have not been idle, I have translated from Hindi into English, the book Sathya Sai: His mission and Message originally written by Dr. Ganpati Chandra Gupta, former Vice Chancellor of a couple of universities. But more important than that, I rewrote my book Sathya Sai Avatar in Hindi on the persistent requests of readers.
