Publisher's Note:
It is a matter of great pleasure to me to submit this book 'The Secret of Premayoga' to our readers. Brahmalina Late Shri Jayadayal Goyandaka does not require introduction to the followers of spiritual discipline. He was an exalted soul, a devotee of the highest order who was blessed with divine vision even during his life-time.
Present book is a compilation of 16 articles written by him and published in the Kalyana-Kalpataru from time to time. It is a valuable and useful book particularly for those aspirants who are striving to realize God and obtain. His blessing through Bhakti-Marga or the path of love and devotion. It can serve the purpose of a true guide to the Sadhaka on this path, toddling and trying.
Shri Goyandakaji was not a man of theory but he practically lived those principles and lines which he has propounded in these articles.
Gopis' unalloyed love was his ideal and a pollar star to him. Self-surrender was another technique, though of a bit grosser nature yet quite effective. In the 9th article Shri Goyandakaji has almost chalked out an exhaustive plan for developing love towards the Lord which can be very beneficial to the beginners and so is article 12th which discusses the Means of Developing love for God.
The third important thing to Shri Goyandakaji was Satsanga. To the followers of Bhakti-Marga, 'Satsanga' means the company of Bhaktas only; company of Miras, Suras and Tulasis.
The article 8th narrates the story of Pravira which glorifies the wonderful devotion of Pravira who defeated Arjuna at every step even by being killed he defeated him. An ideal devotee of Lord Krsna. It is a most thrilling story worth reading.
To cut it short, the book is in the hands of the readers. It was a standing demand from some friends to publish these precious notes in the book from which could materialise after a prolonged waiting. We hope our readers will generously excuse us for any shortcomings, commissions and omissions for which we must shoulder the responsibility.
I have received much needed co-operation and help from many corners for which I express my gratitude to all of them. We will feel our endeavour fruitful if this book renders any service to those who are fellow travelers on the path of Bhakti.
