It is very heartening to know that the second edition of Septenate Mixtures has been exhausted which proves that this has been found a very valuable addition to Homoeopathy. I have used some of the mixtures extensively in my charitable clinic where I see more than 700 patients every Monday and I have found them very efficacious. I would certainly recommend these mixtures to everyone practising Homeopathy so that they bring credit to the science.

In this edition once again the system adopted in the first edition has been adopted. I have given the most useful potency for each mixture and also its dosage. This was done due to popular demand by all practitioners to give potency for each mixture. In spite of this I would again say that these mixtures can be prepared in any potency and they will be found as useful as in the potency given in the book. In my Monday Charitable Clinic I do not have scope for any other potency except the 200 potency and I find them very effective. Every Physician has to use his own judgement for the selection of potency for each patient. As a guideline I would suggest lower potency for acute cases, middle potency for sub-acute cases and higher potency in chronic cases. Results obtained with the mixtures are most welcome from practitioners.

Since Dr. Samuel Hahnemann discovered Homeopathy research work is going on for the betterment of the science on various lines. In spite of this we cannot say that all avenues for the upliftment of this science have been explored. Most of the research results that are published are on the lines set forth by the Master, but there are a few who are carrying on this work but get scant recognition as they work on unorthodox lines. As scientists we must have an open outlook and if there is any information from such re- search, we should accept it and put it to use. This would certainly enhance the reputation of this wonderful science and also encourage others to follow the path shown by our Master.

The introduction of Homoeopathic Mixtures in our day to day practice is certainly an added advantage to all those who are practising Homeopathy all over the world. Many honest Homoeopaths following true Hahnemannian principles find it too difficult for their reputation, and ultimately leave the profession to take up other jobs for their living. Only a very few with a phenomenal memory can boast of true Hahnemann Ian prescriptions and work miracles. But these very few can never popularise a science and bring it to the masses.

The above is one of the reasons why mixtures are already in vogue in Homeopathy and books are also written on this subject. THE GROUP REMEDY PRESCRIBER by Dr. Eric F. W. Powell may be mentioned as it is today a very famous book. The mixtures advocated by Dr. Powell are sold in many parts of the world and are very effective. Most of the pharmaceutical companies are selling Homoeopathic specifics which are mixtures of various Homoeopathic drugs in various potencies. Tese are widely used by practitioners with great success. These facts have to be faced squarely by those who think that by mixing potentized medicines incalculable harm is done to Homoeopathy.
