Shaivacharya Swami Lakshmanjoo (1907-1991) was born in Srinagar, Kashmir. He was the last of the saints and masters of Kashmir Shaiva tradition. Swamiji, like a splendid shining jewel had a profound understanding of Kashmir Shaivism. He spent his life beginning when he was a small child studying and practicing the teachings of this tradition. Due to his one pointed effort and because of his intellectual power and strength of awareness, he realized the reality of this thought both spiritually and intellectually. Swamiji was instrumental in revival of Kashmir Shaivism in India and all over the world.
