Of the eighteen Mahapuranas, the base of Hindu thought and living, Shiva Purana is believed to be the fountainhead of Shiva Siddhanth, the Shaivite Faith, given by the grace of Parama Shiva Himself.
Given first to Brahma, Naradamuni got it from his father and in his turn conveyed it, in a condensed form, to Sanat Kumara.
A devout study and contemplation on this would give enlightenment by dispelling all darkness and promote well-being.
