In the land of the Marathas, there was once a fearless young man called Shivaji. He was known for his bravery and clever war strategies. This young man went on to become one of India's greatest kings, and a thorn in the side of the mighty Mughal Empire. The Maratha Empire that he established became a major military power that changed the course of the nation's history.
Fifth in a series of illustrated books created for young readers to get to know our world heroes better, this engaging biography, peppered with little-known facts, introduces the reader to Shivaji's awe-inspiring determination, valour and the events that defined his life.
