व्यासपाणिनिनिभावनिर्णय is a thesis that discusses the import of the select sutras of Brahmasutras, select verses of the Bhagavadgita and select sutras of Panini from a philosophical point of view. 47 topics are discussed in this volume. These relate to Sutras and Sruti passages. For instance, the sutra तदनन्यत्वम् आरम्भशब्दादिभ्य does not convey the मिथ्यात्व of the other entities than Brahman. But it only conveys that all other objects are under the control of Brahman and there is no other independent entity. Similarly the sruti परे अव्यये सर्व एकीभवन्ति does not convey the identity of Brahman and jivas. It only conveys that after liberation the liberated souls will remain in the same place and have similar thoughts.

In this way all important ‘abhedapara’ statements are interpreted as conveying ‘bheda’. The author of this volume Srimusna Setumadhavacharya was a great scholar of Vyakarana and Dvaita Vedanta. His scholarship can be observed all long this volume.

This thesis is a valuable addition to the researches in Vyakarana and Vedanta.
