Sivagnaana Yogi, the writer and translator of many an opus, was a tambiraan of the Tiruvaavaduthurai Aad-heenam, He, a polymath, is rightly hailed as the Dravida Maha Bhaashya Kartha. His great commentary on the Tamil Sivagnaana Bhodam, is a classic. He indeed is the official interpreter of Tamil Saivism to master which one should cultivate his works in depth.
T.N. Ramachandran, the author of this monograph, is an advocate. He is a litterateur and a philomath. His English translations include Bharathi's Poems, the Tirukkovaiyaar, the Periya Puranam, the Siddhanta Chathushtayam, the Sixth Tirumurai, the Poems of St. Pattinatthaar and the Hymns of Kaaraikkaal Ammaiyaar. He visited London in 1997 and delivered many lectures in various centres. Sahitya Akademi Published his 'Saint Sekkizhaar' in 1994.
