About the Book In this book an attempt is made to study the socio-economic status of sub- caste of Scheduled Caste Women. The target group women are generally engaged in trading and cropping of seasonal fruits in rural areas. But due to migration to urban areas, their life and occupational pattern are changed and adopted other income generating occupation of Scaverging and Sweeping. The author was studied the existing living condition and occupational pattern of these sub-caste women in urban situation. This book was divided into Six chapters such as Theoretical and Methodological frame work, General Profile of the Relli community, Marriage, Family and Rituals, Employment and Income Structure, Role Performance, Decision making and in final chapter summary, findings and conclusion.

About the Author Dr. Rao (Gazula Mallikharjuna Rao) had obtained his Master Degree in Social Work, Ph.D in Social Sciences and post-graduate Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management from Andhra University. Presently he is pursuing LL.B course in Andhra University, India. He worked as Head of Social Welfare in Providenciales Turks and Caicos Islands, British Overseas Territory and served 30 years. Dr. Rao is British National and migrated from rural place of Guntur District and settled in Turks and Caicos Island. During his carrier, Dr. Rao is associated with many welfare groups to serve disadvantaged and socially backward people in India and aborad.

Foreword At the dawn of human history, when physical strength was considered the most vulnerable asset for success in life. It was natural for Men to look down upon Women as inferior beings, unfit for any rights or previlages and gender discrimination.
