An attempt was made way back in 1970 to bring out the essence of Srimad Bhagavatam by culling out most of the stories and presenting them in a simple language which can be easily understood by laymen. These stories were serialised in The Vision, the monthly magazine of Anandashram, Kanhangad, Kerala.
This compilation does not contain all the details in every chapter of Srimad Bhagavatam. Some portions have been left out. A suggestion was received recently that what was printed in The Vision may be brought out in a book form for the benefit of readers.
Therefore this edition is now brought out in the hope that it would find a place in each household so that, everyone in the house can read through and understand the basic teachings and the eternal message of Srimad Bhagavatam.
