G.S. Unnikrishnan Nair, a science communicator and popular science writer, has published over 2000 popular science articles, 37 books, and scripted & directed more than 100 T.V. documentaries. He received the National Science Communication Award (2008), the Science Literature Award of the State Council for Science Technology & Environment, Govt. of Kerala (2005), the State Farm Journalist Award (2005), State Children's Literature Award (2009 & 2011), Bhima Children's Literature Award (2009) and third prize in National Chemistry Photography Competition organised by Vigyan Prasar. He is presently working as Assistant Director of Agriculture in Department of Agriculture, Kerala.
