Jyothisa Acharya, Smt. Prof. Satya Sree R is the granddaughter of Guruji Sri NV Raghavachary (Meena2) and daughter of Dr. NVRA Raja (Meena2 Jr.) She is from a family of well-known Naadi astrologers and has mastered Naadi astrology with the blessing of Guruji NVR(Meena2). She did her BE(EEE) from Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad and PGDM(HRM) from XIMB, Bhubaneswar, MA (Vedanga Jyotisha) and she was awarded Phd Doctorate for her work on "Nakshatra Digbala Gunas". She has got a deep commitment towards Meena2 Naadi system with guidance from her father Dr. NVRA Raja who did great research in astrology and published many books on Meena2 Naadi System. Apart from profound interest in astrology, she has a flair for teaching Naadi astrology. She has participated in many seminars and delivered thought provoking lectures. She is also the founder trustee of JKR Astro Research Foundation (Charitable Trust) committed to teaching and spreading astrology free of cost.

Husband and wife relationship is Pavitra bhandham. In this book I could see Prof. Satyasree's effort and research oriented analysis and marriage compatibility based on Surya and Chandra Shadgas. I am very happy that she has used Jeeva and Sareera concept, one of the important pillars of Meena2 Naadi system, in identifying couples happiness and in some of the cases issueless etc.,. Jeeva and Sareera concepts are very important while analysing strength of a bhava or karaka and also to arrive timing of events. This Shadga concept was taught to me by my father when i was 11 or 12 years old. I am very happy that she has used this Shadga concept for marriage matching and the results are excellent.

I am happy to write a few words on the book, "Surya Chandra Shadga- Marriage compatibility", written by my beloved daughter Dr. Satyasree Raja.

Analysis or study of horoscopes on marriage compatibility is a complex subject. There are many great scholars who have written their comments, opinion on the methods of marriage compatibility. Parasara maharishi, Varahamihira have given detailed steps on marriage compatibility. Many authors and scholars have discussed on Kuja dosha and its importance while matching horoscopes. One may get perfection in marriage matching after a great level of experience. Generally, while matching horoscopes importance has to be given to 7th house, 2nd house and Karaka Venus.

Now a days we observe, even arranged marriages after consulting learned astrologers are also ending in separation or unhappiness in their lives.

In today's mundane world, many boys and girls have extraordinary expectations from each other. But one should understand that Husband and Wife relationship is beyond the basic physical attraction and infatuation. This bandha is Pavitram. If the couple gives value to this bandha, then their life will be very happy.

I remember, when I was about 11 or 12 years old, Guruji Raghava Chary ji taught me about Surya Chandra Shadgas and its importance on controlling bhavas and karakas. In this book, I could see Dr. Satyasree's effort and research-oriented analysis on marriage compatibility based on Surya and Chandra Shadgas. I am very happy that she has used Jeeva and Sareera concept, one of the important pillars of Meena2 Naadi system, in identifying couples' happiness and in some of the cases of child birth for a couple. Jeeva and Sareera concepts are very important while analysing strength of a bhava or karaka and also to arrive at timing of events. One should not conclude that it is a good match not just based on high points on Dasa vida porutham or 36 point scale matching.

Today, we must give importance to 7th, 5th and 9th houses while matching horoscopes. Guruji Raghava chary ji has given enough hints on selection of horoscopes for marriage compatibility. He says marriages are made in heaven and without God's will, nothing will move in the universe. He has given importance to 1st, 5th, 7th, 9th houses for marriage compatibility between the boy and the girl. Dr. Satyasree has followed this and applied this concept throughout the chart analysis.
