Ustad Julfikar Hussain is the renowned Tabla player of Assam (North-East), a leading exponent of Tabla from Lucknow Gharana in Assam.

He is the senior most disciple of Khalifa of Lucknow Gharana, Ustad Afaq Hussain Khan. He was born on 08 March, 1966 at Lanka, Nagaon, Assam.

Now, he is the Practical Examiner of Tabla and Kathak Dance of Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapith, Lucknow and Surnandan Bharati, Kolkata. He has taught Tabla to innumerable students of Assam till now and has held many workshops throughout the State. He has received many National awards, which are- Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Award (2017), Jnantaal Prakash award by Malhar Ghosh, Surnandan Bharati (2017), Surnandan Bharati Lifetime Achievement award (2018) handed by Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj, Shilpi Bota (2021) by the honorable Ex-CM of Assam, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal.

Debasish Talukdar is a young and energetic Music Researcher, Music Scholar, Tabla Player, Classical Vocalist, Filmy and Non-Filmy Singer, Teacher, Guider, Harmonium, Shri Khol & Other Percussion instrument player. He is the senior disciple of Ustad Julfikar Hussain, he is under his guidance for more than 8 years.

He was born on 10th April, 1996 in Hojal, Assam. In the year 2014, he shifted to Lucknow for advance Taleem with a lot of dreams in his eyes. Here, he got the guidance of Authority of Lucknow Gharana, Ustad llmas Hussain Khan, Chaturmukhi Tabla Player Pt. Ravinath Mishra and now he is guided by Head of Dept. (Taal Vadya) of Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyaya, Dr. Manoj Mishra, who is the disciple of Padma Vibhushan Pt. Kishan Maharaj. He has taught more than 300+ students of Classical Vocal and Tabla. He is the Author and Publisher of all the three genres of Music-Classical Vocal, Instrument and Dance.
