About the Author Dr Sheetal Lakkappa Sadalagi. Completed his under graduate from - SBVP's JVM's Grameen Ayurvedic Medical College Terdal in 2004. Post Graduate in - Manovignanam Evam Manasaroga from SDM College of Ayurveda, Hassan in 2009. Secured Pattabhishek award for academic excellence in Dharmasthal 2009. Presented many more papers in national and international seminars, given more than 10 guest lecturers in the field of ayurveda and CME. Attended more than 10 NGO programme. Presently working as vice-principal, reader & HOD,dept. of Kayachikitsa SBVP'S JVM'S Grameena Ayurveda Medical College, Terdal. Karnataka.

Preface Among the astangas, Urdwanga Chikitsa or shalakya chikitsa or uttamanga chikitsa or jathrudwa roga chikitsa is explained as the best for existing in the shiras which is the seat for all the vital organs.

Shalakya tantra gives detailed description of the diseases of the ear diseases, nasal diseases, throat diseases, eye diseases, shirogata diseases. All these are sensory organs seated in the shiras, so only this branch of the medicine is given prime importance among 8 branches of ayurveda.

Many of the books written on shalakya tantra, but there are no books seperatelndy concentrated on each sense organs in ayurveda. So here attempt is made to bring out concise book on Karnagata rogas and chikitsa with modern co-relation where ever it has atmost importance. This concise book on Karnagata rogas with modern co-relation, will help students of Shalakya tantra to enrich there knowledge for them in practical aspects.
