Dr. Archana Pandey Jumle, MS (Prasuti Tantra and Streeroga), a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist with special interest in infertility an obstetrics. Born and brought up in Mumbai she had started her Career in Mumbai. Having keen interest in obstetrics she has been practicing obstetrics and Gynecology past 12 years. She is also working as an Assistant professor in the department of Prasuti Tantra and Streeroga.

She has been meritorious through out her career. Having a great clinical and surgical career she has extensive experience in obstetrics. She has also served the patients in Matru Seva Sangh Trust Hospital for five years. She is expert in conducting all high risk labor, complicated deliveries and caesarian sections. She has conducted various seminars to educate students. She has also volunteered many awareness programs. Being a quick learner she is also a dedicated and passionate teacher. To build her clinical and surgical career in Nagpur, she has also worked in various hospitals of Nagpur.

The Text Book of "Garbhini Vigyan" is a comprehensive book covering all the topics mentioned by CCIM and MUHS syllabus.

The book is made talking into consideration to cover the topics of Garbhini Vigyan in both Ayurvedic and Modern aspects. I have added few special topics in obstetrics viz. Nutrition in Pregnancy, Preconceptional treatment, drugs in obstetrics etc.

This book has covered the topics in detail and hence it is beneficial for both under graduates and postgraduates.

I really feel happy to introduce this book. I hope this book will be highly beneficial and very valuable for its readers.

Who always encouraged to share my knowledge to others, be sincere to my patients and who always led my path with their enlightened vision.

It gives me great pleasure in writing the foreword for this book' Garbhini Vigyan' written by my students. Garbhini vigyan is one of the subject which needs to be thoroughly studied for proper understanding of reproductive system.

This subject dealing with Garbhini Vigyan is we find in various samhitas given special importance, students find it difficult to collect the study material from different samhitas and to revise it adequately from large textbooks before examination.

It is my belief that Dr Archana and Dr Rahul's book in the present form covering the paper 1 part A as per latest CCIM syllabus should meet the requirements of the students fully, both for theory and Viva- vice examinations. All topics are comprehensively covered in a simplified way.Author has made an attempt to systematically analyse and present the relevant data from Ayurveda as well as Modern point of view. The students will find it very helpful in revising the subject quickly and facing the examination with confidence.

A lot of meticulous work seems to have gone into preparation this book for which Dr Archana and Dr Rahul deserves all praise.
