Back to nature and naturopathy, the trend 1.1 of the closing years of the twentieth century takes us back to the days of old wives' remedies or 'jaributi' as it is called in India. This short treatise by Dr. Bach falls much in line with those of the great Homeopath, Dr.Hanneman who takes us back to nature not only with his remedies but through his reasoning also.
As in the ancient Indian system of 'Ayurveda' which relies almost entirely upon the medicinal properties of plants and roots, so does Dr. Bach, only with greater simplicity. It is fine that. simpler forms of medication should be made available to the public and it is books or booklets like this which make it possible.
With simple and harmless remedies even the layman may give emergency treatment for ailments, which can often be life savers. Such prompt cures being available in our own homes makes this possible. This of coursedoes not mean that one should not consult a doctor, but one should at least be capable of alleviating pain and suffering till one is available. Many of our wonder drugs like penicillin and quinine were discovered amongst the roots and fungi used by primitive people who had to face diseases having absolutely no recourse to medical services. It is only Mother Nature, who in the end looks after her own.
