The account of my Vienna Tour was actually an attempt to make happy times last a little longer, last beyond those digital snapshots and a few souvenirs . Once in a while I would bring it out and read it by myself just to feel good. Till my friend Sushmita felt this may become something more than a source of personal amusement.

I thought of Kalyanidi and with some misgivings sent her a crude write up. She found something interesting in those haphazardly written personal pages and provided me with fresh material and literature to help me flesh out my personal reflections with a richer impression of the history of Vienna and particularly its music. Reliving my memories with a fresh input made it an experience of sheer joy. I take this opportunity to thank Kalyanidi for making my Vienna last as I dedicate Vienna at last to my parents who brought me up on a diet of travelling .
