Faced with the biggest challenge of his life, Arjuna found the solution in the knowledge of the Bhagavad-gita. Not only did he face the problem, but he came out strong and victorious. Millions over the years have found solution to life's problems in the Gita. You too can do so.
A narrow vision is limiting, a broad vision is expansive and a holistic vision in all-inclusive. The Bhagavad-gita gives a holistic vision of life. The ways to gain that comprehensive vision, is described by Swami Tejomayananda in this book, Vision of the Bhagavad-Gita.
The simple and straightforward message of the Bhagavad-gita is, 'Look at life as a whole and live a holistic life'. Do not live it in fragments. Do not live it in compartments or segments. Do not look at life only from one angle; take an aerial view, a bird's eye view. From a helicopter, one gets the larger perspective, the overall picture. As the craft descends, one gets a closer look, a detailed picture and a multidirectional view. This is exactly what Sri Krsna did for Arjuna. He elevated Arjuna's thinking and made him observe the situation from the highest standpoint. Then He brought Arjuna down to face the ground realities and explained different perspectives of life from various levels. He taught him how to examine the impending war from the absolute standpoint as well as from many relative standpoints.
Often, we find ourselves in a dilemma on what decision to take or what action to perform. Sometimes, we are assailed by doubts or are ignorant or have insufficient knowledge; therefore, we are unable to resolve conflicts. We have a tendency to avoid or try to escape from such situations.
