About 1500 years ago, in villages of Maharashtra, lived the Warli tribes. These tribal people used to paint the walls of their mud houses with pictures of their daily lives, animals, birds, harvest, wedding, birthdays etc. They did not paint gods & goddesses. They used only one color - white, which was made out of rice flour. The motifs were basic geometric figures-triangles, dots, dashes and stick like hands and legs. This Warli painting is about a village scene. Now you make your own warli painting, with picture of your birthday party, family dinner or any other topic that you would like, on the blank sheet of paper in the kit..
