A GOOD book is the precious legacy of not only its author, but his times to posterity Late Dr. DV. Nadkarni's compilation Warmth of Love is one such good book.
Usually, one finds a book of verse a novel, a book of hum our, a biography a collection of quotations, an anthology of essays, an assemblage of articles. But rarely ever one finds all these put together. To the best of my knowledge it is the first such attempt and I am sure it will be appreciated by all.
Budding poets will find twenty interesting poems in Warmth of Love. Those with spiritual and philosophical leaning will find at least two hundred excellent reflexions. One who takes this world as a joke will run through about a dozen humorous articles with delight. Those who like brevity will like to read five middles, and that ever growing tribe called letter writers will collect some useful hints on how to compose good letters to the editor. The short biographical sketch will inspire youth to look up to something, to be positive in adversity and to face the ups and downs in life with equanimity.
I knew Dr D. V Nadkarni (reverently known as Bhau/more as an editorial letter writer It is only when Mr. Vijay Annand Madgavkar, brother-in-law of Bhau, came in contact with me, and proposed that I put Bhaus writings in a book-form, that 1 knew what a tremendous amount of writing Bhau had done since his retirement.
