WITH THE DIVINE MOTHER:
Mother Krishnabai's words at Satsang sessions in Anandashram, noted down by Swami Shuddhananda. Even though the record covers only a limited period, yet it is valuable, as it spreads light on some aspects of the Mother's divine personality. The contents of this book, in three volumes, are of deep interest to the seekers.
Born in 1932, Swami Shuddhananda (formerly known as Sriram Trikannad) grew up in the holy atmosphere of Anandashram and later had his schooling in Mumbai. Though he took to a professional career for some time there, the deep desire was always there in him to serve Papa Swami Ramdas. It got fruitioned in 1981 when he left his job and came to the Ashram with his wife for good. From then on he was involved in the Ashram activities very deeply and later became a Trustee of Anandashram Trust apart from being the editor of THE VISION. He moved closely with Pujya Mataji, silently recording her talks which were compiled later under the title 'WITH THE DIVINE MOTHER'. Later, he took sannyas on April 18, 2000. Swami Shuddhananda attained Samadhi on 2nd of June 2001.
It was one afternoon around 2.30 PM in the month of February 1988. Sri Swami Satchidanandaji had finished the reading of the day's letters to Pujya Mataji and left the room. I was alone with Mataji in Papa's room, sanding behind her cot and fanning her. In the Bhajan hall, Ram Nam was going on.
Mataji: "You have been keeping notes of my talks, haven't you?"
Taken aback a little, for 1 never imagined that Pujya Mataji knew about the notes I had preserved: "Yes, Mataji. But I have written them down mainly for my own benefit."
Mataji: "That is all right. You may even publish them later on, when I am not there. Only see that the talks are faithfully inscribed."
"Yes, Mataji."
This record covers the years 1981 to 1983 and a, little of 1986- '87. It is Pujya Mataji's boundless love and kindness towards this humble child of hers, as to all her children, that has enabled me to record her illuminating talks for posierhy
