Yakshipuram is a harrowing horror story with many unexpected twists and a mind-boggling climax. Prakash is trapped in a stupefying saga involving the occult, satanic rituals, witchcraft, and spine-chilling horror, in his quest for heirs. The book combines rib-tickling humor and classic horror without being crass. Yakshipuram revolves around a sinister and dark theme. Inspired by a nightmare that the author had, it will take the readers on a profound rollercoaster of a trip.

Biju Vasudevan was born in Haripad, Kerala before his family moved to Rourkela. He completed his education from Ispat English Medium School, Rourkela, and then joined the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela from where he graduated in Mechanical Engineering. After a brief stint in ITC (BATCO) he joined SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant and has lived most of his life in Rourkela. He currently, works as Assistant General Manager for the State Enterprise of Steel Authority of India, Ltd at the Rourkela Steel Plant. Yakshipuram is his seventh book and the Kafkaesque quality of surreal mystery and terror, is very much a part and parcel of this book. He is also a martial artist, guitarist, and a creative musician. He is married to Jyothi and has a daughter, Arundhati and a son, Venugopal.

It is just the flight of feverish rampant imagination of a Young Man AND IS INSPIRED BY A NIGHTMARE THAT I ACTUALLY WENT THROUGH WHILE I WAS SLEEPING.

This book is a children's adaptation of an earlier book of mine, which I had written, as an antidote to "The Molecular Slaves" which is a book on philosophy and metaphysical thought. That book finally turned up being a sequel to "The Molecular Slaves." Maybe that was the way that the Almighty wanted it to be. This children's book was written on the basis of a demand from my daughter, Arundhati.
