About the Book:
There once lived a couple who were perpetually depressed due to their inability to have children. They went to every doctor, spiritual master healer and psychiatrist; but none could help them. Later, they came to know that an eminent yogi was visiting their town. it was said about him that there was no problem that he could'nt solve. The yogi, after checking their nadi(pulse), said, "Go away! And forget about a child. I see you both dying in forty-one days from now. Perhaps, if you visit all the temples of India bare feet, you may survive." The couple were taken aback. They could neither eat, nor sleep, but moved from city to city, visiting as many temples as they could. Even the thought of not being able to have a child ceased to bother them. But they did not die on fortieth day, as predicted by the yogi. On the contrary, they discovered in few day that the woman had conceived with the yogi's grace or was it because of the pilgrimages? To resolve these question, they went to the yogi again. The yogi smiled and said, "Your Problem was not thatobesity. The walking made you lose your extra weight, and you could conceive. It had nothing to do with my blessings. It was my yoga sadhana that gave you this beautiful lie that transformed your whole being."
Most religions of the world are essentially based on belief systems; yoga is the only exception . It assumes nothing and it proceeds in a systematic and scientific manner. Your need not believe in it. All you have to do is to practise this system as a life experiment. Yoga, to start with, makes the body physically fit and helps the various systems function normally. And finally, makes you reach a state of mental and spiritual bliss that cannot be disturbed by any external phenomenon.
Yoga For Weight Loss avers that obesity is not a disease; it is effective yogic techniques. It provides a comprehensive and straightforward account of the remedy that includes a set of yogic techniques, the ideal diet, and more importantly, the right attitude to lose weight in a healthy manner, and be able to maintain it.

I was walking around in the marketplace when the idea to write a book on 'Yoga for Weight Loss' came into my head. Eighty per cent of the people I saw there, were either obese or overweight. Though I am here to spread my guru's teachings and make human lives better and enlightened, I wondered why I was preaching enlightenment when men cannot even look into the mirror and ask, "What have I done to myself?" Yes, what have you done to yourself? You will die without knowing that you can look amazing! That hidden inside your sick, fat and obese body, lies somebody who is healthy and fit and loves himself.
Wake up! Stop feeling jealous of people who have an amazing physique and body structure! Instead, fix yourself and become that! You complain that your girlfriend sitting beside you is looking at another man with such wonder in her eyes or that your husband's gaze keeps straying to beautiful women, when all you need to do is take your body in your own hands and be that person.
Just look at yourself - take a long, hard look. What do you see? Your stomach - so huge! Your butt - so big! But most men and women in India (or else where) are like this, you will say. This is a mere consolation and you know very well that you are not confronting the real issue. Make friends with people who are fitness freaks and let them make you feel low because of their confidence and beauty. Understand that you too could be beautiful if you stopped being an escapist. Have the courage to challenge yourself with the conviction that you are the most intelligent and conscious creature of all species on this planet! And then live up to it! Use your intellect that is innocent of any pre-conceptions to question your present state. All you need to do is simply come to a decision that yes, I will!
