The canvas has been dramatically divided into segments to depict various incidents. The outer border narrates the tale starting from Krishna's birth. The artist Rabi Behera has relegated Krishna's childhood and the childish pranks to the background and talks of his tryst with various demons in these individual sections. The centre is occupied by a rectangle wherein Krishna stands surrounded by gopis under a semi-circular arch. This has four square sections around it. It all adds up to the way in which the artist has experimented with numerous shapes, juxtaposing them in a manner to avoid clashing. The squares show Krishna and Radha indulging in sensual activities, love evident in their mannerism. The centre also has the flamboyant Krishna seducing the gopis.
