It has been carved in perfect keeping with ancient temple architecture. Three tiers of the roof are punctuated with miniature stoopas, each containing a mythic world of prayers within (there are a total of eleven stoopas on this altar). The structure is held up by four identical curvaceous pillars, within which lies ample room for more than one icon or a few large icons. The bottomrest is supported by four short legs carved like the thick, beauteous vines of the tropics.
The glamour of this mandir lies in the lattice-worked roof and bottomrest. The middle tier of the roof and the panel right beneath the floor feature the same lattice pattern - lifelike vines that converge upon a central flower motif. The lotus petals engraved onto the bottomrest and the remaining tiers of the roof are also done with remarkable degrees of precision and symmetry. Your ishtadeva is sure to feel at home within the precinct of this bronze marvel.
