In Sanskrit, the traditional 16-step puja is known as the Shodashopachara Puja; shodasha means "16," and upachra means "offering given with devotion." The first stage in this process is to prepare the Altar. The object that aids in the first phase is this Designer Pedestal with Dangling Ghungroos in Brass. This pedestal is a beautiful brass object with a gold-painted central image of a lotus surrounded by a chakra and small floral motifs at the corner.
To enhance the look and get a sweet chiming sound, some ghungroos are attached at the bottom of the pedestal. The chowki/pedestal is square-shaped and secured by four stands on four sides. The square shape of the top allows the devotee to place the deity safely and has some space to decorate the surroundings with flowers and lamps. Judging by its size and shape, this pedestal is the best choice for placing idols in personal worship spaces or just for Pujas and Homas.
