Goddess Lakshmi is the consort of Lord Vishnu. She is the goddess of wealth, wisdom and good luck. She is believed to have been born from the milky ocean during the 'samudramathanam' by the lords and demons. She appeared sitting on a lotus. She was born with four hands as Brahma, the creator of the universe. She carries a lotus in her two hands while also carrying a pot of gold in her other hands as she blessed the cosmos. She depicts good over evil and so, we worship her on Friday and especially on Diwali.
This handmade silver sculpture of Laksmi is standing on a plinth of lotus, fully breasted, bejewelled in fine ornaments and luxurious costume. She is wearing a coronet as a circle of light and brightness surround her in aureole silhouette. She is holding two lotuses and a vessel of gold bars in her left hand. On a decorating level this sculpture of Lakshmi regally stands out as the silver shine of the sculpture is inexplicable. She is enclosed in a sapelli mahogany mango wood box which manifests material as well as spiritual wealth. This deity spilt gold on her worshippers to bless them with an abundance of wealth. She is a figure of capital and investment which would embellish your workplace walls.
