The love of Radha and Krishna is symbolic of Krishna being the god and Radha as the soul of man. Here, the lovers dwell in the sacred Vrinda groves where nothing but the sound of his sweet flute is heard. Standing on a huge stalked lotus in an erotic pose are the blue bodied Krishna and the golden complexioned Radha. She is holding his flute, prodding him to play the melodious times. But as of now Krishna is drowning in the beautiful eyes of his beloved. With one hand holding her head, coaxing her to come closer, he looks tenderly at her. He wears a multi-layered crown and jewellery on every part of his body. Radha is also adorned in the traditional jewellery and attire. The closely intertwined lower bodies makes it difficult to distinguish one from the other's.
In his enthusiasm, the artist has used multiple colours on single garments. The lower garments of Radha and Krishna have different colours and a printed design, making it look cluttered and interfering. Bright and bold single colours could have added more beauty to this silk painting. Nevertheless, beauty lies in its simplicity.
