Using mixed mediums on canvas, Krishna Ashok creates a profound vision in this artwork, underlining Advaita's most potent and simple philosophy (non-dualism) with appealing, contemporary aesthetics. A textured ochre background gives space for the main figure of this painting to appear, which seems to be a union of female and male images on the left and right half of the canvas, respectively, marking the togetherness of the divine masculine and feminine principles in Srishti. As if flying towards this heavenly form, a swan or Hamsa, symbolic of the human soul is painted on the left section of the painting, presenting the aatman’s strife to attain oneness with the Paramatman.
