(Masterpiece From The Collection of Rajendra Raj Bajracharya)
Tara, in Pali tradition, derives her name from the root ‘Tarati’ translating to “getting to the other side”. The mother goddess is the finest female manifestation of Bodhisattva. Often called Dolma (she who saves) in Tibetian - Green Tara embodies supreme benevolence as she sits on a Mandala in Lalitasana holding a Blue Padma and extending her hand in Varada Mudra. Her green color represents the element of cool air and the swiftness she’s associated with, indicates her status as the active meditative deity that she is, brought to you in this gorgeous Thangka painting.
