The profound knowledge and caring direction of the "Lotus-Born," or Guru Padmasambhava, a highly regarded person in Tibetan Buddhism. Guru Padmasambhava is revered for his proficiency in Tantric teachings and his crucial contribution to the foundation of Tibetan Buddhism. He personifies enlightenment and spiritual development.
He is depicted clutching a five-pointed vajra in his right hand, which stands for the five kayas of the anuttarayoga tantra and the five Buddhas of the cosmic directions. However, he is grasping a skullcup, or Kapala, which stands for the passage from illusion to complete consciousness. The skull also stands for immense delight and transience. Additionally, he is grasping a tantric staff, sometimes referred to as a Khatcanga, which is a ceremonial tool carried in the left arm's bend.
