touch each artist imparts to the timeless love saga. Despite the vast number commissioned annually, individuality prevails in their portrayal of divine romance. Rabi Behera's masterpiece, "Murli Manohar and Radharani," exemplifies this. Executed as a Tala Pata Chitra or Palm Leaf Painting, it captures the ethereal interaction between Krishna and Radharani.
Rabi Behera's painting depicts the lovely and divine interaction between the lotus-eyed Lord Krishna and the lotus-heart Radharani (the most compassionate one); the artist has used the traditional depiction used in Patta paintings, with the character's eyes and nose sharp and the chin dramatic. Both Radha and Krishna pose in the Tribhanga posture, exquisitely ornamented. Goddess Radha rests her chin on the palm of her hand, displaying amusement as she looks at Lord Krishna's most beautiful face.
