The Rasa-Mandala (circle formed by Krishna and Gopis during the performance of Rasa), is a profound symbol of the unhindered flow of divinity between Kanha and Gopikas, when they become one during Maha Rasa. Drawing on this symbolism, the Tanjore painting is placed within a circular vintage teakwood frame. In the outer ring of the artwork are Gopis standing with Krishna in between them, recreating the bliss and heavenliness of Rasa. The center of the artwork depicts Krishna and Sri Radha seated regally on a swing, with Krishna adorned in a Pitambara (yellow attire), and Radha wrapped in a green saree, representing the youthfulness and fecundity the emanation of Sri Lakshmi embodies.
