Hanuman in his Panchamukhi avatar is a complete representation of spiritual essence where his five heads are indicative of the five ways to worship the sacred, namely - Naman, Smaran, Keerthanam, Yachnam and, Arpanam. Seated in a padmasana, he’s depicted as Ashtabhujadhari (eight-armed) holding a Kalasha, Sword, Gada, Japa Mala, Parashu, Trsihula, and Sindoora with a traditional South Indian Open Garland. His Mandira is decorated with Dhwajas/Patakas as the apsaras sprinkle floral offerings from the heavens. On both his sides are the incarnations of Narayana, whom he’s devoted to in Ram avatar. Made with natural colors, the beauty of this art piece is further pronounced by its gold work.
