The narrative of the Trinity Gods is well-known in Puri. Jagannatha is Sanskrit for "Lord of the Universe." Many Vedic texts identify Jagannatha as Krishna. His brother is Baladeva, and his sister is Subhadra.
Jagannath, Balaram, and Subhadra are three siblings, portrayed in their natural and distinct colours and unfinished shape as part of their perpetual pastime. This pattachitra embodies the majesty of the fabled triad gods. Jagannath, Balaram, and Subhadra have been painted in their characteristic white, yellow, and black colours.
Rabi Behera brilliantly illustrates the beauty of pattachitra in his earlier work. The trinity is housed within the precinct of a stunning temple. The entrance to which is partially visible in the foreground. It was painted with great patience in an original manner of filling in the microscopic details, emphasizing the symmetrical and undulating themes and motifs.
A gorgeous miniature of handmade pattachitra is created using a bold and dynamic colour palette. An oblique border with very fine detailing complements the artwork on this pattachitra. This magnificent sculpture is highlighted by the ecstatic psychedelic motifs and exquisite peacocks hiding behind these deities. This is a fine pattachitra that would add grandeur to your collectables.
